Ingredients
-
1 cup (240 g) plain Greek yogurt
-
1 packet (about 85 g) orange gelatin dessert mix
-
1 cup whipped topping, such as Cool Whip
-
1 can (about 300 g) mandarin oranges, drained well
-
1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
-
½ cup crushed pineapple, thoroughly drained (optional)
Instructions
Whisk the dry orange gelatin powder into the Greek yogurt until smooth and evenly coloured. Do not prepare the gelatin according to the packet directions.
Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and creamy.
Fold in the drained mandarin oranges and, if desired, mini marshmallows and crushed pineapple.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, until cool and set to a soft, spoonable consistency.
Tips for the best orange fluff
-
For a less sweet dessert: Use plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt and skip the marshmallows.
-
For extra creaminess: Use full-fat Greek yogurt.
-
For a lighter version: Choose nonfat Greek yogurt and a light whipped topping.
-
For a firmer texture: Add less fruit and drain it very thoroughly.
-
No Cool Whip available? Use softly whipped, lightly sweetened cream.
Storage: Keep covered in the refrigerator and enjoy within 2–3 days. Avoid leaving it at room temperature for extended periods.
